As the founder of Strategic Mediation Solutions, Brett is dedicated to helping families navigate divorce with dignity, fairness, and financial clarity. With more than 15 years of experience as a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® (CDFA®) and mediator, he has helped over 700 families reach out-of-court settlements by tailoring services to their unique needs. He brings a collaborative, interest-based approach to every case, ensuring each matter is handled with care and respect.

Brett’s background in business, financial planning, mediation, coaching, and ministry facilitation allows him to guide clients through complex financial issues, including asset division, non-marital property tracing, tax implications, parenting plans, and cash-flow planning. He takes the time to ensure clients understand the nuances, combining technical clarity with a calm, neutral presence that supports informed decision-making.

Rachel Johnson is a mediator and future family law attorney, now in her final year of law school. She has become an essential part of our team, taking on a wide range of responsibilities with a steady hand and a sharp eye for detail.

Rachel serves as a skilled case facilitator and is often the first point of contact for clients during onboarding and case management. She has a genuine interest in listening to people, understanding their goals, and helping them move through the process with clarity and confidence. Her mix of legal training, practical experience, and calm presence makes her a strong ally for clients and a reliable partner for our team.

In addition to being the Office Manager and Concierge at The Colab Suites, Lainie is the first point of contact for in-person meetings and in-person document drop-offs.

Terri Jensen keeps the back end of the practice running smoothly. She leads the bookkeeping with accuracy and consistency, ensuring the financial side of the business stays on track. She also supports key practice-management work behind the scenes, keeping systems organized and deadlines moving.

Terri’s attention to detail and steady reliability give the team the structure it needs to stay focused on client work. While she isn’t front-and-center with clients, the practice runs better because of the work she handles quietly and consistently every day.
